The switch from a white to yellow ball has now become a standard mid-season change, but this year it is designed by Puma.
Thank you!
The 2025/26 “Under the lights” winter ball will make its debut at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium The fresh partnership comes after the Premier League’s 25-year collaboration with Nike ended last year.
Puma have supplied the Premier League with a new hi-vis colourway match ball that will debut when Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester United on November 8.
The new “Under the Lights” ball – officially called the PUMA Orbita Ultimate PL – will be the 20th hi-vis ball in Premier League history.
The vibrant design – mainly yellow with pink blotches – is to ensure fans and viewers never miss a pass, tackle, shot or goal.
The boldness of the colours will improve visibility for people in the stands, people watching on TV and for players who will be performing on dark, winter nights.
Speaking on the fresh design, Puma exec Dominique Gathier said: “Under the Lights isn’t just a look – it’s a statement.
“This colourway was developed for maximum visibility during the most electrifying Premier League moments, when the world is watching.
“We bring the tech, you bring the tekkers, when the lights shine brightest it’s when the true ballers come out to play.”
The first Premier League winter ball was introduced in the 2004/05 season and has stuck as tradition ever since.

The ball will be in play until early spring, when it will likely be replaced by a new design until the end of the season.
