On the first day of the New Year 2026, January 1, hourly power outage schedules will be introduced throughout Ukraine.

This is reported by “Ukrenergo” on its page at Telegram.

Also, on January 1, capacity limitation schedules for industry will be in effect.

Such restrictions were forced to be introduced due to Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine.

Ukrenergo drew attention to the fact that the situation in the power system may change. You can find out the time and amount of outages on the official pages of Oblenergo and DTEK.

It is not yet known how the lights will be turned off on January 1 in Kyiv.

We would like to remind you that on New Year’s Eve, part of the residents of Kyiv will welcome the year 2026 without electricity. Due to stabilizing outages, four groups of consumers in the capital will not have electricity until midnight. That means many residents won’t be able to watch the president’s traditional New Year’s address — unless they have backup power.
