As a result, the military and law enforcement officers managed to detain a submarine that was transporting 300 bales of drugs.

The interception of the vessel, whose crew consisted of four people from Latin America, took place in the open sea, approximately 426 kilometers from the Azores.

Due to adverse weather conditions and structural weakness of the vessel, it could not be towed away and eventually sank. The investigation is ongoing.

We will remind:

  • Earlier, Spain detained a ship with 10 tons of cocaine, which was hidden in salt.
  • They also wrote that on January 21, under the coordination of Europol, the “largest” operation against synthetic drug producers was completed, which covered four countries and led to the termination of the activities of 24 large laboratories.
