Poltava rejects the accusations. Football players are ready for the polygraph

The players SK “Poltava” showed willingness to undergo a polygraph test to deny their involvement in the organization of match-fixing. Meanwhile, the National Police of Ukraine has launched an official investigation into the possible manipulation of the results of this club’s matches in the Premier League.

Investigative actions are carried out in the context of the activities of organized criminal groups that influence the results of sports (football, tennis and e-sports) competitions through coercion, bribery or prior collusion.

Earlier, Francesco Baranca, the former head of the UAF Ethics and Fair Play Committee, informed about at least five matches of SC “Poltava”, which caused serious suspicions of manipulation of the results.

In the UPL rookie club, such messages are called nonsense. The football players themselves declare that they are ready to prove their innocence in this incident by passing a lie detector test.

Currently, “Poltava” occupies the last place in the UPL. In the next round, on November 21, the team led by Pavlo Matviichenko will host LNZ.
