The Ministry of Justice appealed to the DBR for providing information about Konstantin Zhevago assetsThe Ministry of Justice appealed to the State Bureau of Investigation on providing information on the assets of the Oligarch Konstantin Zhevago for further blocking and preparing an appeal to the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court.
This is stated in the letter of the Ministry of Justice, which concerns the sales of sanctions imposed on Zhevago by the NSDC decision of February 12 this year.
“In view of this source, law enforcement agencies suggest that the Poltava GOK will be transferred to the state in the near future,” the Law and Business writes.
So, earlier in the DBR reported preparation together with the Ministry of Justice of the corresponding appeal to the Wax. It is about the transfer of corporate rights to the state of 49.5% of the authorized capital of the Poltava GOK, as well as the nationalization of assets of the enterprise: 541 real estate objects, 172 land plots, which are in early rent for 49 years, railway cars and tracks.
According to the newspaper, Zhevago managed to establish links with officials who should take care of the nationalization of his assets. In particular, according to the media, this circle may include the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Yaroslav Matuzka, resulting in a long time blocking the process of recovering the assets of the oligarch-fugitive in the state.
Earlier, prosecutors of the Specialized Environmental Prosecutor’s Office sent an indictment against 4 officials of Poltava GOK to court. They are suspected of illegally extraction of minerals, abuse of powers and legalization of property in a particularly large amount of crime.
According to the investigation, the enterprise, having a license for production only of iron ore, illegally cultivated and sold other types of minerals obtained during the production process. Thus, during 2015-2021, more than 20 million cubic meters of minerals were extracted, and the amount of damage to the environment was more than UAH 157 billion.
At the facilities of the agricultural sector, the extracted breed was processed into rubble, which officials were sold to entrepreneurs. In this way, they legalized illegally extracted more than 885 thousand tons of rubble products and empty breeds for a total amount of UAH 33.5 million.
