We must walk the path to victory ourselves.

This was stated by the commander of the 411th separate battalion of the “Hawk” UAV Andriy Sukhin with the call sign “Atlas” in an interview with “Ukrinform”.

In particular, he believes that the issue of placing peacekeepers in Ukraine is more political than military, and he is convinced that the path to independence must be taken by Ukrainians on their own.

“I don’t think that this issue is a military one, because, as one classic said: do not solve the issue by military means, because there will be no way back. Peacekeeping missions are a political solution… But for some reason it seems to me that this way our independence, our struggle – not for us neither peacekeepers nor foreign contingents will pass. We have to pass it ourselves, only then will we appreciate it and remember it for generations,” Sukhin said.

At the same time, he emphasized that the Ukrainian military is very grateful to international partners for the help they provide. In his understanding, victory means the return of all territories occupied by the Russians, security guarantees for the entire country, economic prosperity, etc.

“The restoration of all our borders is the security of the country on its entire territory from Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy and across the border. And, of course, this is economic growth. So that our country is prosperous, and my children and other children grow up and developed, studied, built. And for it to be a European legal country,” said the military man.

He specified that such a victory should be in an “ideal world”.

Britain and France are discussing sending peacekeepers to UkraineIt will be recalled that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron are considering the idea of sending British and French soldiers to Ukraine as a peacekeeping mission after a potential agreement to end the war. According to Western media, the French president supports this approach and has already discussed it with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

While Downing Street and the Elysee Palace do not deny that the topic was raised during a meeting in Checkers last week, details of the talks remain tight-lipped.
