According to “European Truth”, Sikorsky recalled “assurances” provided to Ukraine within the framework of the Budapest Memorandum. In his opinion, in the case of providing more specific guarantees, they will not be effective.
According to him, the purpose of the guarantees that are now being discussed is to restrain Moscow from new aggression.
“Like, if you attack the one who is given guarantees, we will start the war for its protection. That is, if we provide security guarantees to Ukraine – we say that we can start war against Russia. And I do not think it is convincing that there is trust before. Who wants to fight with Russia – may not be a guarantee. Sikorsky.
The Polish minister noted that they are not talking about guarantees for Ukraine. It is about “Peace monitoring and Ukraine’s strengthening”.
“I am afraid that this self -absorbing discussion destroys and demobilizes politicians from a more urgent task – finding money for Ukraine for 2026 and 2027,” Radoslav Sikorsky summarized.
