These materials are published in the Polish-language part of the platform and have signs of a coordinated disinformation campaign, Shtandersky emphasized.
“This content poses a threat to public order, information security, and the integrity of democratic processes in Poland and throughout the European Union. The nature of the narratives, the manner in which they are disseminated, and the use of synthetic audiovisual materials indicate that the platform is not fulfilling its responsibilities as a very large Internet platform,” the letter said.
In the AI-generated videos, young women make statements in support of Poland leaving the EU or repeat other far-right messages, often referring to nationalism, criticizing migration policy or attacking the current government.
Polish government spokesman Adam Shlapka also commented on this case, it is reported Gazeta Prawna. On Tuesday, he said that these materials could be Russian disinformation. He noted that the presented narrative “absolutely does not correspond to the interests of Poland and 100% corresponds to the interests of Russia.”
“Secondly, if someone looks closely, you can see the Russian syntactic structure in these videos,” Shlapka added.
We will remind, in December in Poland expressed solidarity with Germany, which summoned the Russian ambassador due to misinformation.
