Australia’s first racket Darya Kasatkin (WTA 16) is one of the most active athletes in recent years in the protection of freedom and normalization of their belonging to the LGBT community.

In 2022, the tennis player announced that she was a lesbian, and told about her relationship with a professional figure skater, silver medalist of the 2018 Olympic Games Natalia Zabiyako. Together, they conduct learning from different tournaments, demonstrating their relationship.

This step, as well as public condemnation of Russian aggression in Ukraine, could have caused problems for Casatkina in Russia, so it received Australia’s citizenship.

Now it became known that Darya Kasatkin and Natalia Zabiyako have officially announced her engagement.

Kasatkina posted a photograph of a dazzling diamond ring on his fingers with a signature: “So simple.”

Many couples from the tennis world left greetings in the comments.

“Congratulations, Dasha and Natalia !!!” Jennifer Brady wrote.
