The women’s tennis players are holding a match of the 1/8 finals of the Australian Open 2025. The match is taking place at the Rod Laver Arena.
Before the start of the match on the central court of the tournament, it was officially announced that handshake there will be no confrontation between Svitolina and Kudermetova after the end.
“There will be no handshake between the players at the end of the match. We appreciate your respect for both athletes during and after the match, as well as your understanding in these difficult circumstances.”
Elina also refused to take a joint photo with Kudermetova.
