The Pension Fund of Ukraine has completed the financing of pensions for February 2025. The amount of UAH 62.2 billion was allocated for pension payments.

This is UAH 0.5 billion more than in January, when the amount of UAH 61.7 billion was allocated for pension payments. According to PFU, pension payments are directed in February:
- through JSC “UkrPoshta” – 8.8 billion hryvnias,
- Due to authorized banks – UAH 53.4 billion.
In addition, the PFU has sent UAH 4.9 billion to the state budget for housing subsidies and benefits.
In January 2025, the total number of pensioners in Ukraine was 10 million 343.6 thousand people. This is 4.5 thousand less than in December last year (10 million 348.1 thousand).
According to the PFU, the most pensioners were in the Dnipropetrovsk region – 874.0 thousand people. In addition, 747.0 thousand pensioners in Kyiv, 707.4 thousand in Kharkiv region, 668.8 thousand in Lviv region, 616.1 thousand in Donetsk region.
Through current accounts, banks receive 8 million 382.4 thousand pensions. The remaining 1 million 961.2 thousand pensioners received payments through Ukrposhta.
We will remind, PFU was directed for payment of pensions in 2024 UAH 736.4 billion. This is 9.6% (by UAH 64.4 billion) more than in 2023.
As of January 1, 2025, the average pension was UAH 5 789. It is expected that after indexation since March 1, the average prognostic level of pensions will be 556 UAH, the average pension in Ukraine will increase to UAH 6345.
