Swimmer Anton Kohl won “silver” in the 100-meter backstroke in class S1 (swimmers with severe movement disorders).
For Anton Kol, this is the third Paralympics. At the 2016 Paralympics in Rio, he took third place in swimming at distances of 50 meters and 100 meters on the backstroke.

In total, 4,400 athletes from more than 169 countries will take part in the competition. Ukraine will be represented by 140 athletes who will compete in 17 out of 22 sports. This is the largest representation of Ukraine by sports, previously there were 15 of them.
The largest number of Ukrainian Paralympians will be represented in swimming (37), another 28 para-athletes will perform in athletics.
The XVII Summer Paralympic Games are the eighth Summer Games with the participation of Ukrainian Paralympic athletes. During the years of independence, Ukrainians took part in seven summer and seven winter Paralympic Games and won a total of 613 medals.
