The number of victims of explosions near Zhytomyr has increased to 24 people, including children, said the head of the regional military administration Vitaliy Bunchko.
Earlier it was known about 15 wounded.
“As a result of an extraordinary event, which happened at 126 km of M-06 highway, Kyiv-Chop (near the village of Berezina, Zhytomyr region), two people, unfortunately, were killed, 24 more were injured and delivered to medical institutions. Among them are 4 children, ”he wrote in the telegram.
On the evening of July 2, two explosions occurred in the settlement of Berezin near Zhytomyr. According to local authorities, two people were killed, private homes were damaged. The M-06 highway was provided with a minimum travel.
