In Kryvyi Rih, emergency and rescue operations have been completed after the Russian attack, the number of victims has increased, Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, said.

Previously, it was known about four dead and seven wounded.

“Four people died. Nine people were injured. Five of them were hospitalized, the remaining doctors provided assistance on the spot. 4 high-rise buildings, 17 private houses, and a dozen cars were damaged,” he wrote in a telegram.

According to the authorities, in the afternoon of January 17, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The law enforcement officers have started a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings for the commission of a war crime that caused the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes committed by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are targeted.
