On Sunday, January 12, Russian troops attacked the Kherson region with UAVs. As a result of the Russian attacks, eight local residents were injured, the regional military administration reported.

In the morning, Russian troops attacked Antonivka with UAVs. A 47-year-old woman was hit. She suffered a mine-explosive injury, injuries to her forearm, legs and lower back.

“Around nine o’clock in the morning, the occupiers dropped explosives from a drone on a resident of Kherson. A 57-year-old woman was injured. She received an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to her leg,” the local authorities said.

Later, another resident of Kherson who was injured by a drone attack went to the hospital. A 62-year-old man was diagnosed with a mine-explosive and shoulder injury.

“At approximately 15:10 in Antonivka, two people were hit by a Russian UAV. A 56-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman received mine-explosive injuries as a result of the dropping of the ammunition,” said the OVA.

Also, according to local authorities, a 58-year-old man was injured in Antonivka due to drone attacks.

In addition, 21-year-old and 31-year-old men were hit by a drone in Antonivka.

Russian troops regularly attack Ukrainian regions with drones every day. Most often, the authorities of Donetsk region, Kherson region, Sumy region, Chernihiv region and Kharkiv region report dropping explosives from Russian drones on civilians.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
