Former famous boxer Oscar de la Hoya, who was the promoter of Gervonta Davis, does not know what is happening with the boxer, who, due to a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, lost his opportunity to go to an exhibition fight with Jake Paul.
“Gervonta is one of the best boxers, I love watching his fights, but what happens outside the ring… For some reason, he keeps getting into different situations, but I hope he will return to normalcy. I’m not even sure he wanted to fight Jake Paul. This is an exhibition match, which is not in Gervonta’s character.”
“While there was certainly a big fee, this fight would not have added anything to Davis’ resume. I believe that he will overcome his inner demons and return to the ring,” said de la Hoya.
It was previously reported that Davis lost about $40 million due to the cancellation of the fight.
