A soldier of the tactical group of the HUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “Revansh” with the call sign “Orlyk” told about the peculiarities of the work of medics on the battlefield.

“American medical forces made statistics and identified three groups of injuries. The first is the so-called “green”: people with such injuries survive regardless of the provision of first aid. The second is without a chance. For example, a blind bullet to the head. The third group is those wounded who survive only thanks to high-quality pre-medical assistance,” Orlyk said.

According to the combat medic, calculations in 2011 showed that 70% of the wounded from the third group survive if they receive proper first aid.

“I believe that in the realities of our war, this percentage grew even higher due to the availability of medical equipment and good specialists,” the intelligence officer added.
