“During the meeting, the leaders discussed the possibility of strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities by France, which will strengthen our country’s position to achieve a just and long peace. Particular attention was paid to security cooperation and, in particular, possible security guarantees for Ukraine and all of Europe, ”the message reads.
The President’s office is also expected to support France in the negotiating process to enter the EU.
The meeting was held after the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.
The French side does not report this meeting.

Emmanuel Macron first said that European countries can send troops to Ukraine at the end of February 2024, but then this idea did not find support among partner countries.
