The Office of the President of Ukraine reported that currently contributions from partners within the framework of the PURL initiative, which provides for the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine by NATO allies, already amount to 2.82 billion dollars.

According to reports, on November 6, the deputy head of the OP Ihor Zhovkva held a meeting with the representative of the NATO International Secretariat, Ariella Vie, at which the implementation of the PURL initiative was discussed.

According to OP, the mentioned contributions made it possible to form five packages of American weapons to strengthen Ukrainian defense.

“The parties have agreed on the steps necessary to receive new contributions in the near future from member countries and partners of the Alliance that have not yet joined the program. In addition, the mechanisms for ensuring contributions from NATO countries for the next year were discussed in detail,” the President’s Office reported.

In the summer of this year, the USA and NATO concluded the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) agreement, which provides for sending American weapons to Ukraine at the expense of European countries, and NATO coordinates the process.

16 countries have already joined the program. According to OP, these are the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Iceland, Finland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Portugal, Spain.
