January 23 Madison Keys won the second set against Iga Sveontek in the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2025 with a score of 6:1.

After losing the first game (5:7), Madison could have hung up Iza’s bagel if she had taken her serve in the 6th game of the second set. But Iga managed to make a break.

Iga lost a game three times with a score of 0:6 at Grand Slam tournaments: Camille Giorgi (AO-2019 – 0:6, 2:6), Monica Puig (Roland Garros 2019 – 0:6, 6:3, 6:3) and Simona Halep (Roland Garros 2019 – 1:6, 0:6).

Giorgi is the only tennis player who managed to hang a bagel at the majors of both Svyontek and Sobolenko. She shocked Arina at Roland Garros 2022 (6:4, 1:6, 0:6). 33-year-old Georgie ended her career in May 2024.

Keys could become the second tennis player after Georgie, who designed a bagel for both Svyontek and Sobolenko. At the US Open 2023, the American lost to Arina 6:0, 6:7 (1:7), 6:7 (5:10) in the semifinals.

Sport.ua is conducting a video broadcast of the match between Keys and Sveontek.
