“According to the results of consideration, the panel of Judges of APSCS left without satisfaction of the appeal of the prosecutor, appeal complaints of the defense party, representative of LLC and civil plaintiff were partially satisfied, the VAKS sentence was canceled and a new consideration of criminal proceedings in the court of first instance was appointed, in the rest of the appeal.
According to the Corruption Center (the CPC), the case was on appeal for more than 5 years for almost 5 years. The terms of criminal compliance with the exnardep Onishchenko are expired in 2031.
In April 2024, the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court condemned Alexander Onishchenko in absentia to 15 years in prison in the case of damage to Ukrgasvydobuvannya.
In July 2018, NABU reported the completion of the pre -trial investigation into Onishchenko. According to the investigation, Oleksandr Onishchenko is involved in theft of more than UAH 1.6 billion from 2013 to 2016. The losses of Ukrgasvydobuvannya are estimated at over UAH 740 million. Onishchenko has been wanted in Ukraine since 2016.
In November 2019, German law enforcement officers detained a former MP near Oldenburg at the request of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office. However, Germany refused Ukraine in Onishchenko’s extradition.
