On Wednesday, December 18, schedules of hourly electricity blackouts and capacity restrictions for industrial consumers will be in effect in most regions of Ukraine. We will remind that they were introduced due to the devastating consequences of Russian missile and drone strikes on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine.
This is stated in the statement of “Ukrenergo” in Telegram.
Schedules of hourly power outages for household consumers will be in effect throughout the day, but not in all regions of the country. Power limit schedules for industry and business also remain in effect.
At the same time, there is again no information from Ukrenergo regarding the number of queues simultaneously used during outages. The company reported that the reasons for the restrictions are the consequences of numerous Russian terrorist attacks against the Ukrainian energy system.
We will remind that the situation in the Ukrainian energy sector has reached a critical limit, as the total amount of debt has exceeded the mark of 300 billion hryvnias.
In Ukraine, a further increase in electricity consumption is recorded, which creates an additional load on the country’s energy system.
The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg transferred another contribution of 10 million euros to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine.
