Ukrainian tennis player Oleksandr Oliinikov (WTA 91) had a decent semi-final match at the WTA 250 tournament in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

On February 6, Oliynikova took to the court against the 30th racket of the world and the first seed of the competition Emma Radukana from Great Britain and, unfortunately, was defeated in three sets in 2 hours and 48 minutes.

In the second game, Oleksandra trailed 1:3, but managed to take five games in a row and move the game into the third set.

In the third game, Oliynikova led 2:1 with a break, did not hold the advantage and allowed Emma to go 5:2. The Ukrainian won two match points in the eighth game on serve and earned two break points in the ninth, but the Brit still managed to serve for the match.

For the first time in her career, Oleksandra played in the main draw at the Tour level and immediately reached her debut semi-final. In Cluj, Oleynikova managed to beat Mayar Sherif, Anna Bondar and Wang Sinyu.

Radukanu reached the second semi-final in her career. In 2021, she sensationally won the US Open trophy.

In the final, Emma can meet Daria Snigur, if the Ukrainian defeats Soran Kyrstya.
