Usyk became the absolute world champion as a result of the first fight, which took place on May 18, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

That evening, the judges recorded the victory of the Ukrainian boxer by a split decision: 114–113, 113–114, 115–112.

Usyk then relinquished his IBF belt, which was then contested between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois.

Therefore, the title of the absolute heavyweight champion of the world is not at stake in the rematch.

The undercard will feature Ukrainian boxers Serhiy Bogachuk, Daniel Lapin, Andriy Novytskyi.
