Ukrainian super heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk lost the status of absolute world champion in super heavyweight.

The World Boxing Organization (WBO) reported that it received an official letter from Oleksandr Usyk’s team. After a thorough analysis of the situation, the boxer decided to voluntarily leave his title.

Usyk has held the WBO heavyweight title since 2021, when he took it from Anthony Joshua.

Fabio Wordley, who previously held the title of interim champion, was promoted to the status of full-fledged WBO champion.

Previously, the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight title holder (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (24–0, 15 KOs) talked about his plans and admitted when he intends to end his professional career.

Oleksandr Usyk has relinquished the WBO Heavyweight Championship.
