“Ivan Tkachenko signed a contract with Croatian “Zadar””, — write: sport.ua
After a short trial period, during which the Ukrainian satisfied the requirements of the coaching staff, a contract was signed with him until the end of the season.
The club has already announced Tkachenko for the Adriatic League and the Croatian Championship, so the Ukrainian will be able to make his debut for the new team on December 27, in the domestic championship match against Kvarner.
Tkachenko did not sign a contract with any of the clubs at the start of the 2025/26 season, playing in only two official matches after the start of the season – as part of the Ukrainian national team against Georgia and Denmark in November as part of the selection for the 2027 World Cup.
Last season, Ivan played for Mitteldeutcher, with which he won the German Cup. In the 2024/25 Bundesliga, the forward took part in 32 matches, in which he averaged 4.9 points and 3.8 rebounds in 17.3 minutes.
During his club career, Tkachenko also played for the Ukrainian Cherkasy Monkeys and Prometheus and the Finnish Helsinki Seagulls.
Zadar are sixth in Group B of the Adriatic League with four wins in 10 games and are second in the Croatian league with a 10-1 record.
