Gilardino took over at Pisa in the summer of 2025. The 42-year-old Italian specialist previously headed Pro Vercelli, Siena and Genoa.
With the Genoese club, the coach won Serie B and ensured that he kept his residence in Serie A next season.
In the current season of the Italian Serie A, Pisa occupies the 19th place in the tournament table, having 14 tournament points to its credit after 23 matches played.
