OFFICIALLY. Taras Shelestyuk’s battle was canceled due to an opponent’s injury

The fight of the undefeated Ukrainian boxer Taras Shelestyuk (19–0–1, 13 KOs) canceled due to opponent’s injury.

“The fight on January 30 in Montreal has been canceled due to an injury to the opponent,” the boxer announced on social networks.

On January 30, the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games (2012) was supposed to perform at a boxing evening at the “Montreal Casino” arena in Montreal (Canada). His opponent, Cristian Javier Ayala (13–2–1, 4 KOs), withdrew from the bout due to an injury sustained a few days before the fight.

The last time the Ukrainian entered the ring was on March 11, 2022 – his fight with the representative of Venezuela, Gabriel Maestro, ended in a draw (97:93 Shelestyuk, 96:94 Maestre, 95:95).
