OFFICIALLY. Skapintsev changed clubs in the NBA G-League

26-year-old big man Dmytro Skapintsev will continue to perform in the 2024/25 season as part of Rip City Remix from Portland (Oregon, USA). The team is in 7th place in the Western Conference, having won three of six regular season games.

In the fall, Dmytro Skapintsev took part in three preseason games for the Boston Celtics, with whom he signed a non-guaranteed contract. He averaged 2.7 points and 1 rebound per game. In October, the NBA champion expelled the basketball player from its team, but the Ukrainian continued to play in the G-League for the Maine Celtics farm team. In 18 games, he averaged 7.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 blocks per 20 minutes on the court.

Last season, the center made his NBA debut for the New York Knicks, playing two games. He spent the previous two seasons in the Westchester Knicks farm team. In the 2023/24 season, in 38 games in the G-League, the Ukrainian averaged 10.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 blocks in 23.9 minutes on the court.
