OFFICIALLY. A contender for the title of world champion will be determined in super heavyweight

Head of the General Directorate of Entertainment of Saudi Arabia Turki Al-Sheikh officially announced the first tournament of The Ring magazine. The evening of boxing will take place on May 2 in New York (USA).

This show will feature a super-heavyweight fight, where the contender for the IBF world title will be determined. Representative of DR Congo Martin Bakole (21–1, 16 KOs) will meet in the ring with the Nigerian Efe Ajagboe (20–1, 14 KOs). The winner of this matchup will fight IBF title holder Daniel Dubois.

The head of Riyadh Season also announced that this tournament will lead the fight in the contract weight – the stronger will be determined by the Americans Ryan Garcia (24–1, 20 KO) and Rolando Romero (16–2, 13 KO).

In the last fight, Bakole unexpectedly defeated promising American Jared Anderson, knocking him out in the fifth round. Ajagba had a tough fight with the Italian Guido Vianello – he defeated his opponent by split decision.
