Transport services were restored in the Odesa region after a Russian attack on a bridge near the village of Mayaki. Logistics are working, goods are being delivered, institutions and banks are open, although there may be small delays at crossings. This was announced by the deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Viktor Mykyta on the air of the telethon.

According to him, all key processes in the region continue to work. Cargo is being delivered, ATMs, banks and government institutions are functioning as usual. Despite the damage to the bridge, the situation was quickly brought under control.

“There will be no logistical collapse – all goods are delivered, ATMs, banks and government institutions are working. There are some inconveniences, but they are very minor,” said Nikita.

He explained that instead of the damaged bridge, temporary crossings across the Dniester River have already been arranged. They allow traffic to flow, although the speed and capacity are currently lower than on a full-fledged bridge.

“The crossings are built across the Dniester River and today they are functioning well. There are inconveniences, because the crossing cannot work like a bridge, but with minor delays, the transport makes the crossing and today the situation is calm and under control,” he added.

Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, confirmed the information about the restoration of the connection. According to him, the necessary reserves have been formed in the region, and logistics have already been established.

“Transport connections have already been partially restored. People can travel by cars, minibuses and small trucks across the Dniester River,” said Kiper during the working meeting. He also assured that during the next two days, the conditions of movement along the usual routes will be further improved. “In the next 48 hours, the conditions of movement along the usual routes will be further improved,” the head of the OVA emphasized.

We will remind, on December 19, during the day, Russian troops struck a series of strikes on the bridge in Mayaky, Odesa region. At night, 10 Shahed kamikaze drones hit the facility, and up to five drones attacked it during the day. Later, the Russians used a ballistic missile with a cluster warhead.
