Odesa, Lviv and Chernihiv regions report damage to energy infrastructure during the Russian strike

On the night of December 23, Russian troops carried out another massive attack by UAVs in the south of Odesa, damage to energy, port, transport, industrial and residential infrastructure was recorded in the affected areas, reported the head of the regional military administration Oleg Kiper.

“As a result of the strikes, civilian cargo and a warehouse were damaged in one of the districts. The roof of a two-story residential building collapsed and the garage was damaged. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. In another area, the impact damaged windows and roofs in 122 private houses and glazing in three more high-rise buildings. An empty warehouse was damaged,” Kiper wrote in a telegram.

According to him, there are no victims.

The head of the regional military administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, also reported on damaged objects of critical infrastructure, in particular, the power plant in Novgorod-Siverskyi.

In addition, according to him, Russian drones hit critical infrastructure facilities in the Prylutsky District. “For this, the enemy used more than 10 Geranei. There was an attack on one of the enterprises in Pryluky – the car fleet was damaged. In one of the villages, a farm hangar was hit. The building itself and equipment were damaged. Semenivka is under attack. FPV drones were used. An ordinary residential building was damaged. There was an attack on the forest farm,” the report says.

Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv OVA, reported that at night the Russian military attacked a critical energy infrastructure facility in the Lviv region with combat drones. “Unfortunately, there are consequences. I thank our defenders for the fact that these consequences are significantly less than the occupier wanted,” he said.

During the night, the Russian army massively attacked Ukraine with drones, and in the morning the Air Force reported the launch of missiles by Russia as well. An air alert has been declared on the entire territory of Ukraine. In the morning of December 23, emergency power cuts were introduced in a number of regions of Ukraine.

Earlier, the authorities of Kyiv reported on three victims due to the Russian attack, and Kyiv OVA provided data on one dead person and three victims in the region. A child died in Zhytomyr Oblast due to an attack by the Russian Federation, and a dead person was also reported in Khmelnytsky Oblast.
