Obolon’s coach: “Emotions are positive. I want to thank Bartulovich ”

Obolon head coach Alexander Antonenko He shared his emotions after the match of the first round of UPL, where his team played in the “dry” draw against Kiev “Obolon” (0-0).

-Oleksandr Sergeyevich, I congratulate you on your debut as a head coach in the Ukrainian Premier League. What emotions do you have after today’s game?

– Thank you for the greetings. Emotions are positive. We got the result. I believe that emotions should be positive with us.

– Today, Obolon was a serious rival, who reinforced well in the summer. A new coach has come. And despite this, your team managed to restrain the opponent. They have not missed the ball – this is already an indicator of good preparation. Tell us, what is the secret of such training? What exactly did you talk to your wards?

– First of all, I want to thank the experts, I want to thank Mladen. Very nice. We were preparing, we looked, watched games. And practically, as it became known after the draw, we will play with Metalist in 1925, we purposefully prepared for this game. They have increased – it’s their work. I believe that the players who we have have done what we asked for what we saw in the Metalist Games. We worked on it and it seems we got.

– In Obolon, three newcomers came out in Obolon, a few more appeared. How do you evaluate their performance today?

-I want to congratulate our 17-year-old Artem Black forward. It seems to me one of the youngest Premier League players. He manifested himself very well at the meeting. For other players – Czech, Kulakovsky, Shevchenko, Semenov, who appeared in replacement, these are players who agreed to cooperate with us. Thank them for their debut. I think they can also be satisfied.

– the first game in the post of head coach. What are your impressions? What is the main difference between the role of the main and the assistant?

– I worked with coaches who were the main coaches, and I learned a lot. We are now working out our strategy with the coaching staff – Denis Shapochnikov, Alexander Kovpak, Mykola Mikhailov and Physical Training Coach Maxim Pokotylyuk. We work in unison as a whole. For me, it means a lot – even more for a person, not as a coach.

– You are originally from Zhytomyr region, and the match took place in Zhytomyr. How much was this special event for you?

– I always came here as home because I grew up in Korosten of Zhytomyr region. Many played in Zhytomyr at the youth level, in the school. I am impressed that Zhytomyr is developing. This city cannot be junk.
