The operator of the electricity distribution system JSC “Sumyoblenergo” canceled the decision to stop the supply of energy to the utility company “Miskvodokanal” of the Sumy City Council.

This was reported in “Sumyoblenergo”.

The company noted that the decision to disconnect “Miskvodokanal” was canceled by the electricity supplier.

Oblenergo also emphasized that they are only engaged in the distribution of electricity in the territory of the region and do not supply electricity to consumers.

“Supply of electricity (and, accordingly, payments for it) is the responsibility of supply companies, which, in case of debt, have the right to submit to the operator of the distribution system (i.e. JSC “Sumyoblenergo”) an application for the disconnection of debtors. OSR, in turn, has no right not to fulfill such an application (unless the provider cancels the shutdown request),” the company explained.

The operator of the distribution system also noted that the situation will be regulated by local self-government bodies in the future.

We will remind:

On November 18, “Sumyoblenergo” reported that they were forced to stop the distribution of electricity to KP “Miskvodokanal” of the Sumy City Council at the request of the electricity supplier in the Sumy region.
