The German national biathlon team has chosen its full squad for the first stage of the World Cup. The national team has only 12 quotas for individual starts – 6 among women and 6 among men.
Initially, Germany selected six athletes who are guaranteed to participate in the competition. The other half of the composition was formed thanks to control races.
Male composition: Johannes Kühn, Justus Strelow, Philipp Navrath, Philipp Horn, Danilo Rietmüller, and David Zobel.
Female composition: Vanessa Voigt, Franziska Preuss, Selina Grotian, Johanna Puff, Julia Tannheimer and Julia Kink.
We will remind that the biathlete Yanina Hettich-Waltz, who took tenth place in the World Cup standings, was left out of the application. The reason for the absence is the athlete’s pregnancy.
