“Not a bad result.” Svitolina’s first reaction to the exit from the Australian Open

January 22 Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina (WTA 27) lost Madison Keys (USA, WTA 14) in the 1/4 finals of the Australian Open 2025. The match ended in 1 hour and 55 minutes in favor of Keys with a score of 3:6, 6:4, 6:4.

After the meeting, the Ukrainian turned to her fans on Instagram and thanked them:

“A good result for the first tournament after returning… we continue to build further. 🧱 Thank you for your support! 🤝”

For Svitolina, AO-2025 was the first tournament since the leg surgery she underwent in September 2024. On the Melbourne courts, she won four victories over Soran Kirstya, Caroline Dolehide, Jasmin Paolini and Veronika Kudermetova.
