In total, 124 billion cubic meters of natural gas were sold. For comparison, in 2022, 122.8 billion cubic meters of gas were sold.
“Since gas transportation from Russia through Ukraine ended at the end of the year, gas from Norway has become even more important,” said NOD CEO Torgeir Stordal.
According to him, the export of electricity is a “hot topic these days.”
“The energy intensity of our gas export is approximately 100 times higher than the net export of electricity,” he added.

“In 2024, it reached about 240 million cubic meters of oil equivalent (1,510 million barrels of oil equivalent). This is the highest level since 2009,” NOD added.
As reported by Ukrinform, Qatar denied the information that the country intends to transport gas to Europe through Syria and Turkey, calling it a rumor.
