Denis Makhno stated this in an interview with the TV Army about it.
He said that in his unit half the fighters under the age of 25 and mobilized voluntarily. They were not offered any favorable conditions and did not lure money.
“They in their own, though conscious, but insignificant age, already had the concept of statehood in their minds, knew what it was, and how difficult it was, and knew what they needed to do. They did not get it and came to us from the beginning,” Makhno said.
He also met many people who joined the brigade later, and during the conversation reported that they wanted to come before, but did not dare.
“Maybe just for each of us this moment is different. For someone, it is motivation. Someone, for example, loves history, and understands that now it is time to join the army, show, show themselves. For someone is a delight. Many people love military business. And for someone, it is a path of career.”
According to him, the military is not born, but they become.
“As for me, monetary motivation is the least that may be to be able to go to the army,” Makhno said.
At the same time, he reported that any motivation is now welcome to go into the army.
Separately, according to Makhno, the military does not have time to think about the nonsense that are concerned with civilian about geopolitical situations related to US President Donald Trump’s activities.
“Professionals have to analyze geopolitics, and all of them have to fight,” Makhno emphasized.

He is convinced that the value approach to the service should change in society.
Palis stated that citizens should understand the need for such a service, because the realities of today will not be avoided. Ukraine is surrounded by an aggressive neighbor from the north, east and south. And this is a long -term reality in which “our children, grandchildren and great -grandchildren will have to live.”
