“All these images are unofficial.”
In a comment to the Japanese magazine The Sankei Shimbu, Nintendo stated that all images on the Internet are unofficial:
“As for the images and videos, they are not official.”
The company also issued a statement regarding the mockup of the Nintendo Switch 2 that was presented at CES 2025 by console accessory manufacturer Genki: “The game hardware that Genki at CES passed off as Nintendo hardware is unofficial and was not provided to Nintendo.”
Several renders of the future console and even real physical models are already floating around the web, but Nintendo is still dragging its feet with the official announcement of the handheld. Earlier, the company announced that it was going to introduce the Nintendo Switch 2 before the end of the financial year, that is, by March 31.
We previously reported that Nintendo registered its own Nvidia DLSS analog for the Nintendo Switch 2. The technology is designed to reduce the size of games on the console.
