New weapons packages for Ukraine within Purl’s initiative already agreed with the US

For Ukraine within the initiative “List of priority needs of Ukraine” (Purl) Several American weapons have already been funded. This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Purl initiative is a very valuable mechanism for NATO, which transforms the support of allies into tangible capabilities for Ukraine. It enables us to buy defense weapons that is now needed for life, including Patriot and other key American equipment, and already provides real results,” he wrote.

According to Vladimir Zelensky, since August, partners of Ukraine have financed the following arms packages:

– The Netherlands – $578 million (first package);

– Denmark, Norway, Sweden together – 495 million (second package);

In addition, Germany has announced the intention to finance the third package on $500 million and Canada is the fourth on $500 million

At the same time, the head of state noted that the fifth and sixth packages are now in line with the US side. As of now, Belgium, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Iceland and Luxembourg have already declared their readiness to contribute to the future fifth package.

“Our goal is to provide $ 1 billion (US – ed.) For a month within the initiative to fully realize its potential. We are grateful to each partner for such important contributions. Together we strengthen our defense and bring a fair and long peace closer,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Earlier the President of Ukraine statedthat the first two packets of PURL initiative provide missiles for Patriot air defense and Himars jet systems.

It is known that the Purl initiative was launched in the summer of 2025. It is created jointly by NATO and the US and is aimed at rapid supply of American weapons, which is funded by partners for Ukraine.
