The series “Night Agent” – interesting factsThe first season of the spy series “Night Agent” was released on Netflix in March 2023. In the center of the plot was a low-level FBI agent Peter Sutherland, who, as a punishment for a failed mission, spent the night in the basement of the White House to monitor a phone that never rings. However, suddenly a bell rang warning about the threat of a coup d’état, and gradually the hero found himself involved in a big spy game.

The second season of the series was released in January 2025, and in it Sutherland finally turned from an invisible FBI agent into a real spy – in the season finale he became a double agent, simultaneously working for an illegal intelligence dealer and the CIA.

The show’s first season currently holds a 7.4 out of 10 rating on IMDb, while it holds an 80% approval rating from critics and a 58% approval rating from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, on Metacritic, film critics gave it a score of 68 out of 100 (corresponding to “generally positive reviews”) and general audiences a score of 6 out of 10 (corresponding to “mixed to average reviews”).
