- On June 1, President Volodymyr Zelensky approved the updated composition of the Ukrainian delegation for negotiations with Russia in Istanbul “on achieving a just and sustainable peace”.
- As in the previous delegation, it is headed by the Minister of Defense of Rustem Umerov, and from the new list was expelled by Alexei Malovatsky, Head of the Department of International and Operational Law of the Central Legal Legal Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- Instead, Andrei Fomin, Yevgeny Ostryansky and Yuri Kovbasa were added.
- Before negotiating with the Russians, the First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Kislytsia and a member of the Ukrainian delegation, Alexander Bevz met with representatives of European partners of Ukraine – Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom.
