Negligence for 140 million hryvnias is a suspicion of the former commander

The suspicion was reported to the former commander of the military unit and the director of the limited liability company, whose actions caused losses of almost UAH 140 million.

This was announced on September 20 by the special prosecutor’s office of the Eastern region.

The ex-commander was charged with negligent military service (Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and the ex-director of the LLC with fraud (Part 5 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, from January to March 2023, the suspects, using their official position, acted for selfish reasons to illegally enrich the company at the expense of budget funds.

The suspect supplied a military uniform that did not meet the requirements of technical specifications and characteristics and made its use impossible.

The commander of the unit, negligent in the performance of his official duties, accepted this product on the invoice.

During the searches, cash in the amount of $20.7 thousand, 7100 euros, 231 thousand UAH, mobile phones, notebooks and documentation was discovered and seized.

As reported by ArmyInform, the commander of a material support platoon was detained in Lviv Oblast, who traded in state fuel.
