The National Bank of Ukraine issued a commemorative coin with a denomination of 5 hryvnias called “Diplomatiya” on the Day of Diplomatic Service Employees.
The presentation was held, emphasizing the importance of the contribution of Ukrainian ambassadors and consuls to strengthening international relations.
Head of the NBU Andriy Pishnyi noted that the coin is a sign of gratitude for the efforts made to support Ukraine on the world stage.
The coin is a work of art, created by famous artists, and decorated with an olive branch, which symbolizes peace. Also, its obverse features elements reflecting the stability of Ukrainian diplomacy and historical traditions.
The obverse of the coin is decorated with a stylized olive branch – an ancient symbol of peace and good neighborliness, which is the basis of international relations.
The reverse of the coin has a deep meaning encrypted:

intertwined lines remind of the complexity of modern international relations;

the triangle symbolizes the steadfast stability of the Ukrainian diplomatic school;

the seal of the Zaporizhzhya Army (1648–1649) in the center of the composition reminds the world that Ukrainian state traditions and diplomacy have deep roots that go back to the times of the Cossacks.
The coin was issued in a limited edition – up to 75,000 pieces. It is sold in a special gift box, making it an ideal gift or a valuable piece for a private collection. The sale of the coin in the online store of numismatic products of the NBU will begin on December 24, 2025.
