Allies have already paid for a significant amount of American weapons intended for Ukraine – at least two billion dollars.

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during a conversation with journalists in Washington.

According to Rutte, the first few billion dollars have already been transferred to the United States to pay for armaments for Ukraine, and the relevant consignments of weapons have already been shipped from the United States.

NATO Secretary General emphasized that this is only the beginning of military allocations in support of Ukraine. According to him, after a long-term ceasefire or a peace agreement, the amount of spending on weapons and ammunition will be significantly increased.

The United States of America predicted an increase in the number of contributions to the PURL initiative, which will allow strengthening the supply of military aid to Ukraine and bringing the end of the conflict closer.

It will be recalled that the Pentagon created a new special unit by order of Trump.

The USA also announced new shipments of weapons to Ukraine under the PURL program.
