The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine explained in detail how national resistance works and why it is so important for our victory. This is stated in the Ministry of Defense.
From the experience of reflecting the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, Ukraine rethinks approaches to the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state.
One of the powerful tools for counteracting the Russian aggressor was the concept of national resistance – a system that unites the efforts of military, civilians and citizens in the struggle for independence of Ukraine.
“For the third year, our military has been holding back the hostile Russian army, which has made a full -scale invasion of Ukraine. All citizens of Ukraine have to assist the forces of defense, ”said the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Lieutenant General Ivan Gavrilyuk.
According to him, it is both the support of law and order and counteraction to saboteurs in the territories controlled by the government, and assistance to the forces of special operations in temporarily occupied Ukrainian lands.
“In order to approach the victory, every Ukrainian must understand his role in the protection of the state during hostilities and in emergencies. We need to strengthen military-patriotic education, which forms a stable motivation to protect the Fatherland, ”he assured.
What is national resistance? National resistance is a set of measures aimed at protecting Ukraine by maximizing the involvement of its citizens. National resistance enables everyone to contribute to the state defense.
The main purpose is to increase the defense capability of the state, to provide defense of Ukraine of a comprehensive nature, to promote the readiness of Ukrainian citizens for national resistance.
The national resistance management system is built in such a way as to ensure clear coordination of all the components of resistance. The President of Ukraine as the Supreme Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces, who manages the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, stands at the head.
What is the national resistance? The national resistance has three components, each of which performs its specific tasks.
The first is a territorial defense that protects important objects, supports the rule of law and counteracts sabotage groups in the controlled territory.
The second component is the resistance movement that operates in the territories where Ukrainian sovereignty is required. This can include both information operations and physical counteraction to the occupiers.
The third component is the preparation of citizens for national resistance. This component of the system provides people with the necessary knowledge and skills to protect their land. It includes both military training and emergency training.
What are the tasks of territorial defense? Territorial defense units perform a wide range of tasks: from the protection of important objects to counteracting sabotage groups. In the event of emergencies, they help rescuers and ensure the safety of civilians.
An important task of territorial defense is to strengthen the protection of the state border and to create conditions for the safe functioning of the authorities. In the war, the Terroborons units often become the first line of protecting their communities from various threats.
Territorial defense also takes an active part in information confrontation, conducting measures to counteract hostile information operations. In addition, it helps in assisting the population, which is especially important in the state of martial law.
What is territorial defense? Territorial defense has three interrelated components:
- military;
- civil;
- Military.
The military component includes military administration, military units of the territorial defense forces of Ukraine, other forces and means of security and defense forces, which are involved in the tasks of territorial defense.
The civil component includes public authorities and local self -government. They provide administrative support, coordination of the population and resolving issues of providing territorial defense measures.
The military-civil component is the headquarters of the territorial defense zones (districts) and the volunteer formation of territorial communities. They are a link between military and civilian structures.
Who controls territorial defense? The territorial defense management system is built on a clear hierarchical principle. At the national level, the leadership is carried out by the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces through the Commander of Territorial Defense forces.
Within the framework of the military-sugotive zone, the management is carried out by the heads of regional bodies of military administration through the relevant staffs.
Each area and territorial defense areas and headquarters, which coordinate local actions, operate.
What tasks does the resistance movement perform? The resistance movement is a component of national resistance, which operates where Ukraine needs to restore the sovereignty of Ukraine over the temporarily occupied territory.
Its main tasks include the formation of a network of resistance, conducting special operations and creating obstacles to the actions of the invaders. An important function of resistance movement is to carry out information and psychological operations and to carry out intelligence activities.
Specific methods of work are protected by state secret. The leadership of the resistance movement is carried out by the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces through the Commander of the Special Operations Forces.
What are the tasks of preparing Ukrainian citizens for national resistance? The preparation of citizens for national resistance is aimed at the formation of patriotic consciousness in citizens, mastering practical skills to protect their state.
The main tasks include the formation of citizens’ understanding of their role in the protection of Ukraine, training actions in the conditions of hostilities and emergencies. Particular attention is paid to military-patriotic upbringing, which forms a stable motivation to protect the Fatherland.
The management of the preparation of Ukrainian citizens for national resistance is carried out by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the relevant central executive bodies.
