Nadvirna community (Ivano-Frankivsk region) called for nationalization of the Prykarpattya Naftochemist plant, on the territory of which there are urban treatment plants.
According to the head of the community Zinova Andreevich, the company is not funded, and this threatens the work of treatment plants. They come up to six cubic meters of wastewater daily. If the structures stop – the impurities will enter the rivers, and then into the Black Sea, which creates a real ecological threat.
Appeals for nationalization have already been transferred to a meeting of the Congress under the President of Ukraine from the region.
The plant has not been operating for more than 10 years, but it still has treatment facilities on its balance sheet, it does not pay taxes to the local budget and has millions of wage debts. Tax debt to the community – about 10 million UAH.
Prykarpattya’s Naftochemical is one of the six refining enterprises of Ukraine. Located in Nadvirna, the plant provides more than 500 jobs. The main shareholders are companies related to Privat Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov.
In February State Property Fund got in the management of the action of Zaporizhzhya production aluminum plant. Previously, they belonged to the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
