The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, was interviewed by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) as a witness in the back-office case organized by Timur Mindich.
This was reported by the press service of the NSDC secretary in a comment to “Ukrainian Pravda”.
Umerov was summoned to testify in the criminal proceedings opened on the fact of interference in the activities of a state figure.
“The conversation was constructive. “Rustem Umyerov answered all the questions of the investigation within the limits of the procedural legislation,” the message reads.
This procedural action took place on November 25. No other details are reported.
Previously, NABU director Semyon Krivonos assured that anti-corruption officers did not stop the investigation of the “Mindych case” due to some “geopolitical issues”, and new materials will be made public after the completion of all investigations.
It will be recalled that from the tapes of NABU it became clear that Timur Mindich is behind the story with “Israeli bulletproof vests”, who, according to his own words, invested in them “300 million [гривень]”, and demands from the Minister of Defense Umerov to “solve the issue”.
