Detectives of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau conducted a search in the apartment of the People’s Deputy from the “servant of the people” by Roman Kaptelov. The case is investigated under Part 2 of Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code-on the probable introduction of false data in the declaration.
The basis for the investigation was the journalistic investigation of “Schemes” (Radio Liberty project), which stated that the deputy did not declare the property and income of the Russian citizen’s wife, who lives in Moscow with children. In particular, it is a real estate in the capital of Russia and the salary that the wife receives from the Moscow budgetary institution.
That installed NABU
According to the decision of the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court of July 1:

On June 17, NABU conducted a search in Kapelov’s premises.

The iPhone 12 mini was removed, which the deputy refused to give access to a deputy secret.

However, detectives were submitted to the device for examination for the purpose of copying the data.

The court decided to arrest on the phone.
What is known from the investigation of journalists

The Kaptelova family has owned a share of the apartment in Moscow since 2015.

The wife with the children went to the Russian Federation in January 2022, one month before the full -scale invasion.

Since December 2023, his wife began to receive a salary in the Russian institution-“Association of Cultural Centers of the Southwestern Administrative District”.

In 2024, her income in the Russian Federation amounted to more than 700 thousand rubles – almost 300 thousand hryvnias.

The deputy did not declare these income, as he did not specify Russian real estate.
Suspicious trips
Journalists also found that in 2022-2023 Kaptelov went abroad several times, during periods of plenary sessions, at which he was absent or not voted. These dates coincided with the travels of his wife from the Russian Federation to Turkey.
The deputy himself explained the trips of “official and personal circumstances”, but did not provide supporting documents. He also denied knowledge of his wife’s Russian property and stated that he had declared everything under the law.
Meanwhile the High Anti -Corruption Court made a decision which obliges the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine to open criminal proceedings on possible abuse of the expansion of culture and information policy Alexander Tkachenko and his first deputy Rostislav Karandeyev.
