“The enemy carried out 30 airstrikes, dropping 73 guided aerial bombs, brought in 2,687 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,624 attacks on the positions of our troops and population centers,” the summary reads as of 10:00 p.m.
Almost a third of the battles were recorded in the Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region.
“In the Pokrovsky direction, the invaders made 47 attempts to suppress our units. The greatest activity is observed in the areas of settlements of Sukhetske, Bilytske, Razine, Rodynske, Dorozhne, Chervyn Liman, Pokrovsk, Myrnograd, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyna, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, Filia. Combat clashes are still ongoing in four locations,” the message states.
Battles also continued in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slovyansk, Kostiantynovsk, Oleksandrivsk, Gulyaipil, Orichiv and Prydniprovsk directions.
On November 12, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the Pokrovsky direction remains the main one in the context of the Russian offensive. The largest number of daily Russian assaults and the concentration of a significant part of the Russian group operating on the territory of Ukraine are recorded there. In particular, the Russian army is trying to take advantage of difficult weather conditions.
“Our main tasks remain the gradual control of certain areas, the support and protection of existing logistical routes, as well as the organization of additional ones – in order to provide our defenders with everything necessary in time and the uninterrupted evacuation of the wounded. On the slopes and directly in the city buildings, there is a constant struggle with small assault infantry groups of the enemy, less often – the destruction of light enemy equipment,” he said.
In recent days, Russian troops intensified their efforts to enter Pokrovsk in Donetsk region using light vehicles through the southern outskirts, the press service of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on November 11.
Meanwhile, as reported by the Defense Forces of the South, the Ukrainian military withdrew from their positions near the settlements of Novouspenivske, Nove, Okhotnyche, Uspenivka, and Novomykolaivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
